Welcome to Falls Brook Centre’s new website! We’ve got tons of new ways for you to keep up with our antics – you can look forward to regular updates here on our new blog, you can follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, and you can now sign up to receive our quarterly eNewsletter, which will contain behind-the-scenes reports from our staff on the ground and sneak peeks of what initiatives we’ve got brewing. The next issue of our eNewsletter will be out at the end of April!
Our website isn’t the only fresh face around here, though – Shannon Herbert is now our Interim Executive Director! She’s filling the position after our former Executive Director Marc Gionet stepped down. Formerly a full-time farmer from the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, she began working for us in 2007 as the Organic Agriculture Program Coordinator. In 2010, she left her full-time position with us to pursue her career as an Organic Farm Inspector while serving on our Board of Directors. As a board member, she helped oversee our transition from Knowlesville, NB to our present demonstration site in West Glassville, NB. She recently returned as the Education Coordinator, before taking on her newest role!
A warm welcome is also due to our two new team members – Holly Pacey as Education Coordinator and Michelle Lavery as Media and Promotions Coordinator. Both are very excited to be contributing to our initiatives! They’re joining Alex Stocek, our Energy Coordinator. You can learn more about them on social media, with the hashtag #MeetFBC, or on our Staff page.
Stay tuned for updates about our ongoing and soon-to-come projects, events, and resources!! Soon we’ll be introducing an online store, so you can stock up on FBC paraphernalia and show your #FBCPride.
