Local Food

Food is an essential part of our daily lives. The food we eat does more than just nourish our bodies, it influences our culture, creates economic opportunities, and impacts our natural and human environments. Local food systems stimulate rural economies, cut down on transportation which reduces greenhouse gas emissions, support farming families, and provide great tasting, fresh food for our communities.

New Brunswick’s local food system is growing – we are starting to rediscover the importance of a robust network of food production, processing, and distribution. FBC’s demonstrations and educational programming offer citizens the opportunity to start conversations and relationships around local food.
