Organic Certification

Beginning in the summer of 2014, our site beganĀ a three-year organic transition, which will result in our ability to provide certified organic foods to onsite events and the public in 2017. Organic certification provides food growers and processors with a set of standards and regulations to guide their farming practices. It also ensures food distributors and consumers that the food grown using organic practices meets certain criteria including the absence of GMO ingredients, synthetic pesticides, and fertilizers. To read more about organic foods please visit the Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network (ACORN).
